Exercises on Proper Breathing

Here's some basic but important exercises on proper breathing.

Put your hand on your upper abdomen and practice until you can put it forward as your lungs are filled completely with air.

Stand or sit with good posture. Fill your lungs all the way down and begin exhaling by pulling the upper abdomen inward. Let the breath stream out as you continue the steady inward pull.

Stand erect, chest raised as always, shoulders relaxed, head up and take a full easy breath. In a clear firm tone count one (1). Allow the remaining breath to escape. Pause a moment. Then breathe again and count one, two (1,2) - - (10). There should be a considerable amount of breath left over even after you have counted up to ten.
